Apostolos Geralis (1886 - 1983)
Born in Mitilini island in 1886 and died in Athens in 1983.
Originally he was engaged in wood carving but in 1903 enrolled at the School of Fine Arts in Athens, having teachers George Roilos, George Iakovidis Spyridon Vikatos and Dimitris Geraniotis . In 1910 he was appointed to the Pancyprian Gymnasium of Nicosia where he taught until 1915. In 1920 he studied in Paris at the Julian Academy. He presented his work in Greece , Biennale in Venice etc. Apostolos Geralis’ works of art are exhibited in the National Gallery, in PD of Averof and Athens in the Collections Koutlidis and Katsigras , the Bank of Greece etc.
