Irini Badola

Irini Badola

Irini Badola was born in Athens in 1944. She studied painting at the Brooklyn Museum (1979) in New York and set design at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. She paints still lifes and human figures that evoke totemic forms, combining acrylic materials and collage technique with a sculptural mood, recording documentary intentions with simultaneously abstruse elements.

She has presented her work in solo exhibitions ( Antinor 1988, House of Cyprus 1989, Gallery Witkam Brooklyn N.Y. 1989, Aenon 1990, Painting 1992, Stavlos 1998, Desmos Gallery in Crete etc.) and has participated in group exhibitions. He is a member of EETE.
