Stavros Pasparakis was born in Piraeus in 1940, originally from Crete. He was a woodcarver, painter, poet and singer. From a young age he worked as an assistant in woodcarving and hagiography workshops. Afterwards, he attended drawing and painting classes with G. Mavroides and was an assistant to P. Byzantios. He held solo exhibitions since 1971, while he was also involved in poetry and singing. His talent has been recognized by many art critics in Greece and abroad. His works are in public and private collections.
