Christos Merentitis was born in Athens in 1976. In 2025, he graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions with the art group “Irida”.

A figurative painter, he admires the Munich School, particularly the works of Nikolaos Gyzis and Georgios Iakovidis.

His subjects include portraits, human figures in scenes of everyday life, natural landscapes, and traditional buildings. With an emphasis on facial expressions, detail, and the rendering of light, he creates compositions with a strong figurative character. His works are distinguished by their nostalgic atmosphere, evoking images of the past and moments of human life.
