Dionysia Stefanatou was born in 1925 in Patras and lived for many years in New York, United States. She has many group exhibitions to her credit. Her works are in private collections.

Her subjects vary in landscapes, still lifes and the sea. She has been able to combine classical forms with Impressionism giving a harmonious effect. Reality is blended with the ideal, characterizing a painter with skill and sensitivity. She passed away in 2010.
